The emotional pain that accompanies some of my memories is palpable and potent. However, each day, I take responsibility to let go of my past. Releasing the past means I let go of the thoughts and feelings that bring me down.
A lot of evidence suggests that music can play a role (small in most circumstances) in giving “wings to the mind”. through emotional regulation, affected time perception, better pain tolerance and better cognition.
There are many studies that have proven relaxation is good for us, as relaxation releases anxiety, helps us deal with stress and assists our bodies to deal with a whole host of health ailments. Because after all resting our mind and body helps us to feel better.
In fact more and more people are reporting they are feeling more and more tired because the environment we live in has changed but the human body has not changed at all! Now this could be because modern technology is the ‘new convenience’ but at the same time it causes a consistent amount of distractions which results in relaxation time (or down time) for our mind, body and spirit a thing of rarity.
Do you feel a strong need to pick your skin, pull your hair or bite your nails? Nervous habits such as these can also be called Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviours or BFRBs for short and can individually or collectively be detrimental to our body, daily life and self-esteem.
